Sponsorship

Sponsorship is one of the key components to consider for revenue sources when organizing MICE.
It is important to understand the expectations of the sponsoring organizations. In most instances, the main objective of sponsoring organizations is to send their message to the target audience or promote their brand images as an industry leader, their presence on the Web, secure exclusive time with meeting attendees, send their CSR messages etc.
According to the [Convention Industry Council Manual 9th Edition], followings are factors for sponsorship opportunities to consider:

  • Benefits being offered and fees for comparable marketing opportunities
  • Demographics of the attendees to determine the business value of the sponsorship opportunity
  • Costs required to service the sponsor’s needs (e.g. signage)
  • The brand image of the event
  • Past fees Prevailing economic conditions
